Co-organized by the Rhône Métropole de Lyon Athletics Committee and the Rhône Department, this challenge aims to promote trails and nature races in the region, but also to highlight this wonderful discipline.
Ten organizations, including the Trail in Côte-Rôtie have been selected to participate in the Nature Athletics Challenge!
This challenge is open to all participants, licensed or not. Performances are counted from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025.
The chosen events are included in the French Athletics Federation's off-stadium racing calendar and have had an average of at least 500 entries in previous editions.
The events included in the 2024/2025 calendar, established by the Rhône Métropole de Lyon Departmental Running Commission, and allowing points to be awarded to participants are those specified in the race table below. (please note that only the distances specified for each race will be taken into account).
At the end of the races, a ranking by sporting performance (and category) will be established as well as a ranking by attendance (and category).
The top 3 in each category will receive a prize which will be presented to them at the awards evening to be held in November 2025:
1st prize: €300, 2nd prize: €200, 3rd prize: €100.
The challenge rankings will be regularly updated and can be viewed on the website.
